Truck driver
TJ O' Mahony Prosperous, Downing's North, Prosperous, Co. Kildare, W91 DA3A, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, Permanent Truck Driver to join our Team
Job Purpose: To provide deliveries to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Check order and dockets prior to departure.
Ensure deliveries are delivered on time.
Ensure all PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents on the day.
Ensure loads are secured pre-departure. Adherence to compliance with Health & Safety and Road Safety.
Multi drops and Branch to Branch runs.
Driving long and/or short distances.
Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
Handling freight in a safe, efficient manner.
Helping loads and unload goods.
Documenting the required important readings and lorry quantities including commodities in the driver's logbook.
Build excellent customer relationships.
Requirements:
Full Clean Driving License.
C License.
CPC in date (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
Display excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time keeping.
Highly motivated, ability to work to set deadlines.
Team player and can work on own initiative.
Good problem-solving skills.
Road knowledge and of surrounding areas.
Written, oral and communication skills.
HIAB Crane Licence - desirable but not essential.
